ABOUT ME
Hello and thank you for visiting my website!
I am Elizabeth Kay, a self-taught artist specialising in portraiture. My art career began initially part-time in 2017, juggling portrait commissions with my work as a musician and my part-time small business. I've always been fascinated by unique facial features, expressions, personal style and individual character, so specialising in portraiture was a natural gravitation. Initially I set out to achieve graphite portraits with an emphasis on capturing a highly realistic, perfect likeness. Since then, after hundreds of hours of studies and research on oil painting, I now paint portraits with the same meticulous attention to detail. I have received commissions from around the world. By mid 2020 I became a full-time artist and relocated from the UK to the Netherlands, where I work from my home studio.

In September 2023, after raising funds for a local, large rabbit rescue shelter, I decided to set up 'Blackberry's Friends'. This is my charity work where I share the proceeds from the sale of my art with animal rescue sancturies. For more information on Blackberry's Friends please visit
